How and when will I get a statement of my shareholding?
Statements will automatically be sent by the Transfer Agent if you sell, purchase or transfer shares. Statements can also be sent by request of the Transfer Agent.
Why don’t the statements show a valuation?
The statements are produced by our Transfer Agent and Registrar, whose task is simply to keep track of our shareholders and the number of shares they hold. They cannot provide a valuation, but you can calculate one yourself by multiplying the number of shares you own by the Net Book Value per share, which we publish quarterly in six currencies. The quarterly results announcements are distributed to shareholders by email and posted under Announcements.
Why didn’t I get a quarterly announcement of Net Book Value?

Share Dealings
How do I buy additional shares?
There are four Purchase Dates per year being the first business day of each calendar quarter. An Additional Shares Request Form, along with purchase monies, must be received by the Company no later than 10 business days prior to the Purchase Date. For more information click here.
How do I sell shares?
Shareholders may request that their shares be bought back by giving the Company a minimum of 30-days’ notice, for dealing dates four times a year, on the first business day of each calendar quarter. There is a minimum of 1’000 shares to be repurchased but no maximum. For more information, click here.
Can I elect to receive proceeds from a sale of shares to the Company in a currency other than USD?
The Company encourages share sale proceeds to be sent in USD. On occasion and with approval from the Executive Committee, we can allow for remittances in other currencies. An FX transaction will be carried out by the Company at our sole discretion.
How do I change the name on the Shareholder Register? Remove the name of a Trustee?

How do I get a record of my share purchases and sales, prices and average price?

US Issues
When will I get a PFIC statement? Can I get a copy of last year’s?
PFIC Annual Information Statements are prepared and distributed to shareholders of record early in the year, typically late February or early March. Past statements are available for download under Announcements.
Do I have to file FBAR reports for my holdings in Edelweiss?
Check with your tax advisers. We have been told that FBAR forms need not be filed since Edelweiss is neither a bank nor a financial account. Your tax adviser should be able to assist on such matters.
